Live classes are up and running

Covid update 8th October 2020
We are excited that Live classes are now back in both our Almere and Amsterdam Locations. We are so excited to see you all, but things will be a little different. For the time being, numbers of places have been reduced significantly and we have introduced some new ways of working including having a longer period between classes. Your booking will give you access to a family pod, socially distanced from other participants and we ask that you bring your own blanket to mark this space in which you will stay throughout the session. There will be a one way system through our venues wherever possible, with hand sanitising stations available before entering our studios. We ask that adults wear masks when transiting through the building to their pods once seated you can remove the masks. It is important that we avoid mingling before and after our classes, so we ask for you to move away from the building swiftly as soon as the class is finished and maintain social distancing when waiting to enter the building. If you have booked a class and cannot make it then you can always join us online instead. With fewer places available in classes we expect classes to sell out quite quickly, so don't hang around once booking goes live.

Francesca Clements, B Mus (Hons), MMus

Francesca loves to make music and enjoys singing, sometimes playing ukulele, flute or piano too. But, above all, Francesca is one of the world’s biggest fans of the recorder. She has spent many years studying recorder performance, first in the UK and then flying over the sea to continue her musical studies at the Amsterdam Conservatory. Graduating with a specialised masters, her method “Electro Recorder Lab” was nominated for the Amsterdam School Of The Arts graduation prize.
Francesca now gives performances throughout Europe and the USA, appearing on the BBC, Dutch TV show Vrije Geluiden, Radio 4 in Holland and radio WQXR in New York. She plays with the renowned 11-piece renaissance recorder consort the ‘Royal Wind Music’ and Duo Soinua, a special combination of Accordion and Recorder. Francesca helps to organise ORDA (Open Recorder Days Amsterdam) a festival bringing together recorder players from all over the world.
A passionate teacher, Francesca loves to encourage recorder players of all ages and abilities. Francesca has really enjoyed giving concerts across Amsterdam to youngsters aged 0-4, with the Memorable Moments Foundation. It is this experience of sharing music with the very young that has inspired Francesca to launch Little Notes Amsterdam, enabling her to regularly make music with local families and share live music with them right from the start.

"Your love and passion for sharing music shines in every session. It is in some ways hard to put into words what we love so much about Little Notes classes, but I think it is probably all summed up as "a bubble of musical love"

Lynfa-Sian

"Really enjoyed it and my daughter was amazed at listening to real instruments!"

Claudia

"I could never be without my little notes class - it is the one permanent fixture in my week. I have even arranged my return to work days around my regular class! Every child's first experience of music should be Little Notes."

Lynne

"Excellent quality music class for toddlers. More than just a 'sing along'!"
