Little Notes Cheltenham and Gloucester offers the best start for you and your baby, toddler or pre-school child to be inspired by real live music and learn to grow to love music right from the start. Designed and delivered by musicians wanting to bring the very best to the very young. Not your average baby and toddler music class, our fun sessions are bursting with live music, always delivered by a talented musician and are an eye opening experience for any pre-school child. You'll explore an eclectic mix of music across our rich curriculum.

Little Notes in Cheltenham and Gloucester is operated as a Little Notes franchise, operating under the ownership of Sophie Whisker, 149 Cromwell Road, Cheltenham GL52 5EY. Sophie is a musician, teacher and fully qualified music therapist and you can read more about her experience below.

Sophie Whisker

Sophie Whisker had her first foray into music making at Musical Infant classes in North West London at the age of 2 & has never looked back. Sophie loved being a part of her local music school & performing regularly at the Royal Albert Hall as well as going on orchestral tours across Europe. She studied piano & flute at Junior Guildhall whilst studying for her A levels & then completed her music degree at the University of Surrey, specialising in piano performance.
Sophie will be leading Little Notes sessions on piano/keyboard, guitar & flute. Sophie has taught the piano & flute privately for 16 years to both adults & children. She is also a qualified Music Therapist, & has a passion for connecting & communicating with others through music. She especially enjoys collaborative music making; there is a magic in playing with others that just can’t be experienced when you’re on your own. Sophie is a mum of three & this has only reinforced her desire to see children given the opportunity to experience & fall in love with live music as she did during her own early years.

Bhavandeep Stephenson

Bhavandeep Stephenson first picked up the flute at primary school. She enjoyed an active musical life at school so when it came time to choose a career it seemed natural to go to music college. She graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2011 and then came back to Gloucestershire to be a freelance player and teacher. Bhavi is passionate about music being an experience that absolutely everyone should have the chance to share, especially children, as it builds so many transferrable skills, plus it’s fun! Bhavi first came to Little Notes as a mum with her son and she is so happy to be able to help more children have the experience of music in their early years of life.
