Lou Bradbury, BMus (hons), LRAM, ARAM
Lou trained at the Royal Academy of Music, winning its Guinness Prize for Music in the Community and the Princess Alice Prize. The RAM has since honoured Lou’s contribution to music with an Associate Membership. Lou plays the flute, piano and ukulele, but her real passion is the recorder. Specialising in baroque and contemporary music, she has recorded several albums with Fontanella and Passacaglia. Live music highlights include performances at London’s Wigmore Hall, broadcasts for BBC Radio 3 and concerts at festivals across Europe. TV/Film appearances include Zingzillas (CBeebies), 8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown (Channel 4), Mark Gatiss’s Christmas ghost story “Martin’s Close” (BBC four) and playing on the soundtrack for the Wicked Movie (Universal Pictures). Teaching recorder has brought an exciting dimension to Lou’s career, working with recorder players at the Birmingham Conservatoire, Junior Guildhall and Christ’s Hospital School. This, alongside her experience of raising a family, has given her the perfect blend of skills to set Little Notes babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers on an exciting musical journey. She loves helping them to discover the joy of music and grow to love it almost as much as she does.

Mark Bradbury, BMus (hons), LRAM

Mark lives in Horsham with Lou and their three spirited young daughters. Growing up in the Midlands, Mark’s musicality was clear. He learned to play the flute and guitar and discovered his love for singing. Mark began his musical training with the legendary baritone John Cameron in Manchester and a scholarship to study singing at The Royal Academy of Music followed. Theatre always played a big part in Mark’s life. As a performer, he always felt most at-home on the Operatic stage. Mark sang with Glyndebourne Opera for 10 years and learnt so much of his workshop leading skills in the awsome Glyndebourne Education Department. He has rediscovered the flute and guitar and brings his operatic experience to developing the vocal element of the Little Notes program. Parenting my three wonderful girls is perhaps the last notable ingredient that has inspired us to build Little Notes into an inclusive and welcoming artistic experience for all family members. Mark also runs his own Horsham Singing Teacher private studio; SongBuilders who offer creative singing and songwriting workshops including their Build an Opera summer courses at Chesworth Farm in Horsham and the Little Notes and Big Notes Choir

"I could never be without my little notes class - it is the one permanent fixture in my week. I have even arranged my return to work days around my regular class! Every child's first experience of music should be Little Notes."

Lynne

Horsham

"Amelie loves all of the things hiding in the bag. The tidying away and sharing songs are brilliant. She sings them herself now and it has really helped her to learn to tidy away and to be helpful generally."

Cheryl

Dorking

"I have literally arrived feeling like the world is collapsing and gone home feeling like I could climb a mountain!! How does it do that? I want to bottle it that's for sure! Thanks Little Notes for all the fun times."

Rachel

Horsham

"Your classes are so engaging and we regularly sing your songs. They are part of our day whether it's tidying up, sharing, stopping or playing 5 little monkeys sitting in a tree!"

Sally

Dorking

"Your love and passion for sharing music shines in every session. It is in some ways hard to put into words what we love so much about Little Notes classes, but I think it is probably all summed up as "a bubble of musical love"
